Alice - American Mcgee's Alice
As a horror fanatic myself, I think this one really hits the nail on the head. Although the characters were based off of Lewis Carroll's novels, this game lingered more on the chaotic and twisted side.
The premise of the entire game is Alice battling with her insanity and doing her best to save Wonderland which in turn, is to save herself. Rather than being a helpless female lost in a dark and scary place, she takes on the role of brutally slashing and carving her way to the end. She takes no prisoners from start to finish. Being a young kid and playing this game, it really creeped me out, but seeing that Alice was full of tools to destroy her enemies just made me keep pushing through to the very end. From mallots to playing cards, every weapon had it's own way of creating bloodshed, and I loved every second of seeing her rip creatures to pieces!
The game also provides items that gives Alice the ability to change her form and give her strength and power. Alice pretty much goes from scary to horrifying.
She may look innocent at first glance, but Alice is no mere little girl!
